The Muddy Woody 6 is fast approaching and as usual we need lots of volunteers to help with the many duties required on the day. Latest News on Darrens Dash

The date for next year’s Darrens Dash 6 mile hill race and Family Fun Run in Longtown has been set as Sunday 17th June, starting at 2 pm.  The event will follow a similar format to last year and run as a collaboration between Wye Valley Runners, Longtown Primary School, Longtown Pre-School and Longtown Mountain Rescue Team.  Proceeds from the event will be split between the school, pre-school and mountain rescue team.   These testimonials from the 2011 event let you know what’s... [Read more]

New Trophy for Muddy Woody 6

As you are all aware Jim Gray sadly passed away last year. Jim’s family have presented Wye Valley Runners with a Cup dedicated to the memory of Jim to be presented at the Muddy Wood 6. Wye Valley Race Dates

Wye Valley Runners will  hold a brand new 10 mile road race this year from the Hereford Rowing Club on Sunday 9th September. This is one of the classic road racing distances which has disappeared from the Herefordshire Racing Calendar The Wye Valley Runners Summer 10k which is normally held in June will this year be run on Sunday May 20th. Hereford Half Marathon

The St Michael’s Hospice organised Hereford Half Marathon will be run on Sunday May 13th from the Leisure Centre. An incredible 847 runners ran the individual event last year and many of our members participatedin the race.This is one of the biggest fund raising events in the Hospice calendar so your support would again be much appreciated for this years race.
