Now that entries to the Muddy Woody have closed we are able to publish the list of entries.
Check out the competition here.
Have a great run.....
Entries for the 2014 Muddy Woody Race are unfortunately now closed .We have reached our limit exceptionally quickly.
We would love to accept more entries but we are restricted by limited parking and narrow forest tracks and feel that to increase the number of runners would spoil the enjoyment of those taking part.
In setting the entry limit we have already made an allowance that a number of entrants will not turn up on the day. For this reason we do not have a reserve list and it also means that no further places will become available at a later stage.
The news you have all been waiting for the fancy dress run will be held on Wed 18.12.13 followed by drinks in the bar afterwards. There will be the usual prizes for best turned out male & female and plenty of photo opportunities. Probably include a rendition of carol singing and a few mince pies at Chippies.
Exciting News - the run will incorporate the new St James to Rotherwas Bridge cycling/pedestrian bridge route. You must wear a hi-vis jacket and bring a torch.
We would ideally like to finalise numbers attending Xmas Party on Monday 16th December so that we can inform the caterers. Please could you book your tickets with Sue Pretty or Gail Colley asap. We welcome prize donations for the raffle, all proceeds will be donated to Marches Family Network.
Mighty Oak Votes: Closing Date for Mighty Oak Votes is Monday 16th December. Voting is much lower than in previous years and very few votes separate the leading ladies and men. If you have not already voted please do so by emailing mail@bella67.orangehome.co.uk
A field of almost 230 runners tackled the tough Mortimer Hill race this morning. Heralding the end of the race season for the year and the start of the Christmas season, Wye Valley Runners were out in force again. Great runs by James, Steve F, Steve K, Kathryn, Paul, Neil, Sue and Dave.
A reminder about the event at Hfd Leisure Pool this Saturday December 7th 2 until 4.30pm. Halo Leisure are looking to provide advice and support to runners looking to do a range of events from a Charity fun run to a full marathon. Wye Valley Runners have been invited to share our running expertise. Club Sports will also be available to do a running gait analysis. Please let a committee member know if you are able to help on the day.
Many thanks to Mike Blenkinsop for once again providing the results so promptly. Click link
