AGM & 30th Anniversary Countdown
AGM + 30TH Anniversary Night: We plan to start the AGM on Fri Nov 1st at 7pm. AGM will finish at 8.30pm so that we can move onto the 30th Anniv Celebrations. In order to ensure we have enough time to get through the order of business at the AGM there will be no formal break we will continue straight through to 8.30pm. Also we will not have the usual mighty oak and best alternative run awards which will be presented at the Xmas Party. Voting forms will be available and will be collected by Michelle . The Most Improved Runner and Super 8 awards will still be presented at the AGM.
Former club members are also cordially invited to attend the celebration, please bring along any old photos that can be displayed without frightening the guests.
We are having a special 30th Anniv celebration cake made by our very own Becky Davies.
More news will be posted when available- and don't forget your jam jars for Sarah!
Fforest Fields Cross Country Results
Some super running this weekend - with a somewhat depleted team.
Great performance from our men and women - Daneen Hughes pushing home in fifth place with Sandrine Gorien breathing down her neck. In the men's John "consistent" Pullen takes third place with much welcomed new member Jim Masters in a credible 7th. Overall Wye Valley in third place for men and women with all to play for as the season unfolds. Thanks to Mike and Les for doing the admin and support.

Cross Country Numbers
If you turn up for this Sundays XC and do not have a race number you can collect them from Les Chamberlain or Mike Shaw. Bousty is away running in some exotic location. Les and Mike are easily identified by their snazzy looking zimmer frames!!
Keep your shirt on....

Muddy Woody 2014 - standby!
We are getting a regular flow of emails and enquiries asking when the 2014 Muddy Woody race will be held and when entry forms will be published.
We hope to have had discussions and confirmation with the Forestry Commission soon and hope to be able to announce final plans by the end of October or early November .
Please keep an eye on our website or Facebook page
Numbers for this seasons winter cross country.
Can anyone intending to run any of this season cross country races please pick up a number in advance on any Monday or Wednesday club run evening from the rowing club. One number covers all races. This will help make race days much less stressful for Paul and the organising team.
If you haven't entered the cross country races in the past they are highly recommended . A series of testing but beautiful courses with a great team spirit and the chance to keep yourself sharp over the winter months !
This years fixtures are as follows - details on individual races will follow .

10th Nov - Croft Castle
1st Dec - Dinedor

Journalist request to female runners
A slightly different request this morning from a journalist who will be writing an article for a forthcoming issue of Women's Running:
Fitness writer Hazel Sillver is doing a feature on 'The benefits of trail running for depression' for the December issue of Women's Running magazine.
If you have reduced or conquered depression by regular trail running and would be willing to speak to her about it, please contact her at hazelsillver@hotmail.co.uk.
