Cross Country Captain Paul Bouston writes:

All club members are encouraged and welcome to take part in the Midlands and National  Cross Country Championship on Saturday 25th January in Leamington Spa and Saturday 22nd Feb in Nottingham

Ability really doesn't matter - you won't be out of your depth.

Midlands Leamington Spa Jan 25th:

Womens Race starts 2.20pm. Mens 3.00pm. Shared transport as usual

National  Sat 22nd Feb Nottingham

Womens race time 2.20pm and the Mens race time 3.00pm with shared transport again

Please let me know by New Years day if you wish to be entered. It's good thing to take part - give it a go.

Paul.

Muddy Woody 2014 - Sold Out.

Entries for the 2014 Muddy Woody Race are unfortunately now closed .We have reached our limit exceptionally quickly.

We would love to accept more entries but we are restricted by limited parking and narrow forest tracks and feel that to increase the number of runners would spoil the enjoyment of those taking part.

In setting the entry limit we have already made an allowance that a number of entrants will not turn up on the day. For this reason we do not have a reserve list and it also means that no further places will become available at a later stage.

Fancy Dress Run

The news you have all been waiting for the fancy dress run will be held on Wed 18.12.13 followed by drinks in the bar afterwards. There will be the usual prizes for best turned out male & female and plenty of photo opportunities. Probably include a rendition of carol singing and a few mince pies at Chippies.

Xmas Party

We would ideally like to finalise numbers attending Xmas Party on Monday 16th December so that we can inform the caterers. Please could you book your tickets with Sue Pretty or Gail Colley asap. We welcome prize donations for the raffle, all proceeds will be donated to Marches Family Network.

Halo Leisure Event - Saturday 7th Dec

A reminder about the event at Hfd Leisure Pool this Saturday December 7th 2 until 4.30pm. Halo Leisure are looking to provide advice and support to runners looking to do a range of events from a Charity fun run to a full marathon. Wye Valley Runners have been invited to share our running expertise. Club Sports will also be available to do a running gait analysis. Please let a committee member know if you are able to help on the day.

Run in March for "Marches"

Wye Valley Runners charity of the  year

We are a small group of Wye Valley Runners 16/20 strong so far, going to run the Gloucester 20 mile road race on Sunday 16th March 2014.

If any other Wye Valley Runners wish to train with us or want to join us in the Gloucester 20.Training starts on Wednesday 8th January from the Rowing Club, distance 7/8 miles, building up to 15 miles at the end of February, meeting on Club nights and some Sunday mornings.

If we can raise a small amount of money Individually say £50.00 each, as a group we can raise a decent amount for Marches family network.
Many thanks

 Ralph Lloyd
