What a load of Bull

A very healthy number of club members met over Curry and Chips for the AGM on Friday 2nd Nov.

Martin highlighted a year filled with success - over 30 new members, finances in good shape, runners competing all over the UK, Ian and Phil trained up as UK Athletics qualified Leaders and a big fat cheque presented to Hope Support Services who were our charity for 2018.

Our race series goes from success to success and we look forward to welcoming a large crowd on New Year’s Day for the 10k.

Kim Handley was presented with the most improved woman runner of the year award, Ward Linney with the most improved man, Phil Butler picked up the Mighty Oak Award for his sterling work behind the scenes and Brent Lowson bagged the club slot for the London Marathon 2019. Well done and congrats to all of them.

Jan updated on another successful Cotswold Relay and encouraged everyone to get involved in the 2019 race.

There was much debate about the club logo - in the end the AGM voted strongly in favour of keeping the bull image with an improved design that the committee will finalise.

Further discussion was had about the pros and cons of club HQ - members needs are changing and our facilities need to reflect that in an affordable way. The committee will go back and do some more detailed work on options and come back to members soon.

Kelly and Ralph were thanked for their work on the committee as they now take a rest and Martin encouraged everyone to get involved, play their part and help make the club even more successful in the years ahead.
